British and US warplanes attack Iraqi defences

US and British aircraft attacked an anti-aircraft artillery site in Iraq’s southern no-fly zone today.

All the allied warplanes returned safely to base after the strike at Al-Hallah, 265 miles southeast of Baghdad, said a spokesman for the US-British Joint Task Force Southwest Asia.
