Two people were killed on the University of Maryland campus and at least 50 others injured when a tornado ripped through suburban Washington.

Two people were killed on the University of Maryland campus and at least 50 others injured when a tornado ripped through suburban Washington.

Several buildings were also damaged when the tornado touched down and Governor Parris Glendening declared a state of emergency in Prince George’s County, allowing state crews to help with the search for victims.
