The four allegedly planned to kill Alvaro Uribe, who has taken a tough stance against leftist guerrillas in the civil war.

Police arrested the suspected members of the revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) in a raid, days before a plan to blow up Uribe with two bombs was to be put into action.
