Siege gunman exchanges hostages for breakfast
Nine people have been taken hostage by a gunman during a botched bank robbery in the US.
Two adults and a child were released after police, who had surrounded the bank in Lowell, Indiana, agreed to send breakfast to the man.
Three people were escorted from the bank, two initially and then a third after authorities dropped a large bag at the door.
No information is available on the condition of the remaining hostages in the Centier Bank.
Lowell, a rural town of about 7,500 people, is located in north west Indiana.
