The French and British aviation authorities are today expected to grant permission for Concorde to resume passenger flights.

The authorities will issue Air France and British Airways with a directive outlining exactly what modifications are needed before the supersonic jet will be allowed to resume commercial operations.

All Concordes have been grounded since July of last year, when an Air France Concorde crash killed 113 people after catching fire on take-off from Paris.
