Shipman questioned over nine more deaths
Harold Shipman is being interviewed by detectives in connection with nine suspicious deaths between 1974 and 1975.
Shipman was being questioned over deaths in Todmorden, where he worked as a GP.
A West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman confirmed the development .
Relatives of victims, and suspected victims, got a rare chance in February to see and hear the former doctor's voice as he appeared on World in Action in 1982.
The footage of Shipman, now 55, features an interview with the GP talking about Brindle House, a community centre in Hyde, Greater Manchester, which had links with a number of his victims.
Shipman, who was convicted last year of murdering 15 patients after a lengthy trial at Preston Crown Court, spoke enthusiastically of treating patients in the community rather than confining them to hospitals.
The programme also interviewed Elaine Oswald, who described how Shipman tried to kill her by prescribing a synthetic morphine for a stomach ache when she was his patient in Todmorden, West Yorkshire, in 1974.
