Clinton to make £64,000 a speech
Bill Clinton is to make a reported £64,000 for a single speech when he hits the lucrative post-presidential lecture circuit next week.
The former US President is making two speeches in Florida, one of which is said to carry a $100,000 (£64,000) fee.
Mr Clinton will speak to a business convention Monday and at a synagogue on February 10.
Mr Clinton is considering an expensive Manhattan office at Carnegie Hall Tower with a spectacular view of Central Park, but no final decision has been made, said his spokesman, Jake Siewert.
Annual rent for the 56th floor suite is expected to run about £415,000 a year.
Like other former presidents, Mr Clinton's post-White House office will be paid for by taxpayers.
Because of that, some watchdog groups - like the National Taxpayers Union and the Congressional Accountability Project - have questioned Clinton's decision to locate in such an expensive New York City address.
