British-Irish assembly to discuss Brexit

The impact of Brexit is to be debated by Irish and British politicians at a meeting next week.

It comes amid calls for the Government to set up an all-party Oireachtas committee to examine Brexit and the EU reforms now needed.

Fianna Fáil TD Marc MacSharry said: “Ireland stands to be affected from the fallout of a Brexit more than many other countries, and the fact that we share a land border with the United Kingdom puts our border counties at risk.
