Workplace affair seen by entire pub
Stuff.co.nz reported that the insurance company employees who left the lights on in their building were filmed and photographed by patrons at the Carlton Bar and Eatery who posted images on social media.
The man is a married father of two. His wife has seen his affair with the office junior aged in her 20s after pictures of the couple were uploaded on Facebook.
A friend of the wife was quoted as saying: “She had no idea until she came across it on Facebook on Monday.
“She’s in pieces and can’t even speak to him.
“Her friends are fuming and rallying round her.”
The cheating husband was reported to have been having sex with the young woman for up to an hour in the glass-fronted first-floor office in the South Island city of Christchurch — and unaware that hundreds of people were watching them and filming the steamy encounter.
One bar patron wrote: “The whole pub knew about it and was watching, while they were totally oblivious to it. And afterwards celebrating with wine.”
Another said “They should have turned the lights out.”
Alex Wilton told 3 News it was the highlight of the night. “The band that was playing at the time stopped because everyone else was more interested in watching them, and they finished up and had some wine,” he said. “We all had a good laugh.”
Grant Milne, the chief executive of insurance brokers Marsh, which employed the notorious duo, told Stuff.co.nz they were taking the matter seriously.
“We know who is involved. It’s obvious from the photos,” Milne said. “It’s not the type of behaviour we condone. It’s very disappointing.”
A source told Stuff.co.nz that the man’s wife was not speaking to him and he had been crying “non-stop” since the romp went public.
The female colleague, who has since deleted her Facebook page, was previously engaged. Her ex-fiance rang a radio station to defend her.
“I think for everyone involved it’s quite sad,” he said. “She’s not that sort of person. It was her first mistake.
“She is a really nice person, she’s lovely. We had an amazing relationship.”
