Poll: Obama is the worst President of modern times
The poll carried out by Qunnipiac University found that 33 percent of American voters think that Obama is a worse president than his predecessor George W. Bush.
Obama is two years into his second term and scored poorly in many important areas of the poll.
Those surveyed showed their frustration at the current administration by marking it low in areas such as foreign policy, the economy, healthcare and terrorism.
The environment was the only area where Obama scored well with a 50 percent approval rating.
Assistant director of Quinnipiac University's polling unit, Tim Malloy, said: "Over the span of 69 years of American history and 12 presidencies, President Barack Obama finds himself with President George W. Bush at the bottom of the popularity barrel."
Nearly half of those surveyed said the US would have done better in the last two years had Republican Mitt Romney been elected in the 2012 presidential race instead of Obama.
Former actor Ronald Reagan, who served two terms as US President in the 1980s, was found to be the most popular president since 1945 by the poll.
