Jay Z, Beyoncé all smiles just hours after ‘attack’ video
The married couple were snapped smiling and chatting to each other as they watched the game in New York.
Earlier US celebrity website TMZ had sparked headlines around the world by posting the video, which it said was shot last week inside a New York City hotel lift.
It is not known what sparked the outburst as there is no audio on the video.
But the footage, in which Beyoncé does not appear to intervene and Jay Z does not retaliate, shows the stars following an after-party at the hotel following last week’s glitzy Met Gala.
A security guard intervenes and appears to attempt to stop the lift.
Solange and Beyoncé, 32, left together after the incident while rapper Jay Z travelled in a separate car, according to reports.
The couple later appeared court side at a game between the Brooklyn Nets and the Miami Heat at the Barclays Centre in New York.
The Standard Hotel issued a statement saying it is “shocked and disappointed that there was a clear breach of our security system”.
“We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding the situation and, as is our customary practice, will discipline and prosecute the individuals involved to our fullest capacity,” it said.
Jay Z and Beyoncé married in 2008 and have a two-year-old daughter together, Blue Ivy Carter.
Representatives for Jay Z, Beyoncé, and Solange declined to comment.
