Morgan’s questions ‘creepy’
Former US Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell says she walked off Piers Morgan’s CNN show because of what she described as his “very inappropriate, creepy line of questioning”.
The Tea Party favourite said she wished to stop the “borderline sexual harassment”.
O’Donnell had appeared on Morgan’s show to promote her book. Morgan asked her whether she still believes masturbation is wrong and supports total abstinence. In the past, O’Donnell has made comments about opposing masturbation.
O’Donnell became angry when Morgan asked her if she supported gay marriage. She said Morgan was “borderline being a little bit rude”.
Someone off-camera later said to O’Donnell that it was “time to go”, and she left.
O’Donnell said she has no hard feelings toward Morgan — but has declined an invitation to return.
She said she was more than a good sport in the face of “inappropriate” questions from Morgan.
She was promoting her book, Troublemaker: Let’s Do What It Takes to Make America Great Again.
The Delaware Republican won the GOP primary for Senate unexpectedly last year but lost the general election.
Morgan said it was the first walk-off he has had in 25 years of interviews.
Morgan tweeted: “Do you think Christine O’Donnell is going to put a witch’s curse on me now?” — a reference to O’Donnell saying several years ago she had dabbled in witchcraft as a teenager.
