Facebook man in court

INSURERS brought a contempt claim yesterday against a man who drove from South Wales to the Italian Lakes and back when he was supposedly seriously disabled from a road accident.

Graham Loveday and his wife Susan, of Port Talbot, South Wales, were found out after they posted photos of their Lake Garda trip on Facebook, London’s High Court heard.

The case is the first following a groundbreaking ruling last July which opened the way for contempt proceedings to be brought by insurance companies to protect against fraud.
