BOB DYLAN admitted being suicidal and said he “kicked a heroin habit” in a newly discovered interview recorded at the height of his fame.

The singer-songwriter was recorded by his friend and biographer Robert Shelton on a plane journey in March 1966.

In the interview tapes, Dylan, then 24, reveals that he thought about killing himself and is dismissive of his music, which he said would not get him into heaven or save him “from the fiery furnace”.
