Big Brother favourite hints at early walk out
The footballer turned Hollywood actor hinted he could walk out less than 48 hours after entering the reality TV house on Sunday.
Jones is thought to be the highest paid celebrity on this yearâs final Channel 4 show â receiving ÂŁ350,000 to take part â and bookies have made him favourite to win.
But the former Wimbledon starâs talk of wanting to leave began when he was asked what present he would like for his 45th birthday, which he celebrated in the house.
âA red card straight from here would do me,â he told Jordanâs ex-boyfriend Dane Bowers.
He said in the Diary Room: âI donât fancydoing three weeks. I keep eyeing up those walls to see how high they are.â
Later Jones branded some housemates âtabloid celebritiesâ, saying: âI donât really know any of them and some are trying a bit hard in here.â
When Bowers asked Jones if he had heard of the movie Condemned, he said: âI was in it, you nutter.â
Actress Stephanie Beacham revealed she considered leaving producers in the lurch at the last minute.
In a chat with housemates, the former Dynasty actress confessed she still had not decided if she would definitely take part in the show as her car drove her up to the screaming crowd on Sunday night.
Beacham, 62, said: âThe fact that all those people had come out to see me... at that point I didnât actually know if I was going to do it.â
Meanwhile, Jordanâs on-off boyfriend Alex Reid has irritated some female housemates by walking around topless.
The cagefighter and aspiring actor showed off his physique while cleaning up.
Ronnie Woodâs ex-flame Ekaterina Ivanova told DJ Basshunter: âI donât find it attractiveâ, while rapper Lady Sovereign added that next time she did any cleaning she would take off her top too.
However, former Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss must have enjoyed the spectacle, saying to Reid beforehand: âYou definitely have a cute little body.â
Fleiss has been the first to break the silence about her housemates in the Diary Room, describing some as âannoyingâ and âidiotsâ.
âRight now I think Stephenâs a bit of an idiot, but I could be wrong, she said.
