Clinton visits oil-rich Angola

US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton arrived in oil-rich Angola to underscore America’s presence in one of sub-Saharan Africa’s largest energy producers where America is competing with China for resources.

Clinton was meeting yesterday with Angolan President Eduardo dos Santos and other officials in the former Cold War battleground to discuss good governance and greater co-operation with a country that supplies vast amounts of petroleum and liquid natural gas to the US market.
