Tackle climate change ‘with joy’

FORMER US vice president Al Gore yesterday called on the global community to approach the climate change crisis with “a sense of joy”.

The one-time presidential candidate laid down the challenge to help prevent a catastrophe by telling delegates at an Oxford conference it was a “privilege” to do so.

Speaking at the World Forum on Enterprise and the Environment, Gore said a new international consciousness was emerging that could bring about change.
