Joe Swash: Suspended more than 100ft in the air to get star.
JOE SWASH turned superhero to win six stars in the latest Bush Tucker Trial — though he admitted he resembled a “skinny Smurf” dressed in a blue leotard.
Keen to get out of camp, Swash immediately put himself forward to do the trial — called Tower Of Terror.
But his jubilance was short-lived when he was given a blue all-in-one outfit to wear.
He moaned: “I was excited until I’ve seen what I’ve got to wear. A man’s leotard — I’m gonna look like a doughnut in this.”
The camp mates all laughed and Swash opted to put Simon Webbe’s pants on over the top of the blue leotard, mimicking a superhero.
“Joe’s our superhero without a shadow of a doubt. He looks funny and cool and he’ll do well so hopefully come back a hero,” said Nicola McLean.
“It’s quite nice on your skin though,” admitted Swash — adding: “I look like a skinny Smurf.”
Swash had to scale a tower to collect the stars hanging from the planks and poles.
He walked three yellow planks and shimmied out along the two red poles to retrieve the five hanging stars.
To get the sixth star, he was suspended just above the top of the tower, a 100 feet high.
“I’m so proud of myself,” said a thrilled Swash. “I’m not good with heights.”
Ant and Dec joked: “We’ve got a new superhero in the making.”
