Yorath banned from driving

Ex-LEEDS and Wales soccer star Terry Yorath yesterday narrowly avoided a prison sentence for running over a pedestrian when more than three times the drink drive limit.

Yorath, 54, appeared at Leeds Magistrates Court and was given a 12-month community rehabilitation order, which includes 60 hours of community service and a £500 fine. He was also banned from driving for 30 months.
