For mercurial EU president craic beats integrity hands down

A MORON, a clown, a circus performer, great craic – all terms being used to describe the current president in office of the European Union, Silvio Berlusconi.

The Italian prime minister will not be the most important person in the EU during his six-month term that began on Monday week last, July 1.

But he will be the public face of the union on the world stage with the power to make Euro-citizens cringe or be proud.
