Paul Dalton’s parents called in police after making the discovery on Tuesday evening at the €760,000 three-bedroomed house in Kingston upon Thames, south-west London.

Detectives have alerted ports in their hunt to track down the missing 33-year-old husband of Korean-born Tae Hui Dalton, nee Kang.

Officers urged any witnesses who had either been in Woodside Road over the weekend or who had seen Mrs Dalton since Bank Holiday Monday, May 31, to contact them.

Detective Chief Inspector Nick Ephgrave, who is leading the investigation into the murder, said: “Mr Dalton, the suspect’s father, attended this address with his wife late on Tuesday evening trying to find Paul.

“They got in and made a search of the house which appeared to be relatively clear of effects.

“In the search they opened the freezer and found a series of packages. They realised what they had discovered was a dismembered body,” he said.

Mr Ephgrave said the couple ran a language school together in Castle Street in Kingston.
