TRANSPORT Minister Séamus Brennan yesterday criticised a move by Ryanair to hamper plans to bring thousands of tourists into Ireland next summer.

Mr Brennan said he found it very difficult to understand a decision by Ryanair to lodge an objection with Bord Pleanala for a new temporary facility at Dublin airport which would allow low-fare airlines do a quicker turnaround.

He said the Government had moved especially quickly on the matter to ensure extra capacity would be available for the 2003 season.
