Chocs away as healthier bar arrives
Favourites KitKat and Rolo have both been honed to produce a diet-friendly version and will target the three million British people opting for fewer carbohydrates.
Those who believe this could be the answer to their prayers will have to wait until mid-July before the new chocolate is in circulation.
The move has been made to take advantage of the popularity of low-carb diets such as the Atkins Diet, made famous by celebrities.
The new KitKat will have just 4g of net carbs in a standard 21g bar compared to 13g in a normal bar.
In addition, a tube of Rolos, which normally contains 39.6g of net carbs, will be on offer with just 3.5g per 57g tube.
