THE new series of The Simpsons was under threat yesterday because of a pay revolt among the actors who give voices to the classic TV cartoon’s stars.

The six actors, who between them play Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and the rest of the cast, have reportedly asked for about £4.25 million a year a leap from the £1.5 million they get now.

According to Hollywood trade magazine Variety, the actors have refused to turn up for the last two recording sessions.
