Condemnation of UNICEF link-up with McDonald’s

A WORLD-WIDE children’s charity was yesterday branded hypocritical for lending its name to an initiative from fast food chain McDonald’s.

Health bodies say the link-up by UNICEF, the United Nation's Children's Fund, contradicts its pledge to champion the right of youngsters to nutritional food.

UNICEF has teamed up with McDonald's to raise money, as well as public awareness, for the plight of under-privileged children around the world.
