Hamiltons welcome jailing of 'gold-digging slut'
The former Tory minister said Nadine Milroy-Sloan was "a gold-digging little slut" and that she had got the sentence she deserved.
During her Old Bailey trial mother of four Milroy-Sloan was described as a "cunning" fantasist who lied to police in a bid for money and fame.
The court heard the unemployed 29-year-old, of Grimsby had told police she was lured to an east London flat by Barry Lehaney, 62, after he allegedly posed on the internet as the couple's chauffeur.
She claimed that once at the Ilford flat her sexual ordeal at the hands of Mr Lehaney and the Hamiltons began. But jailing her at London's Middlesex Guildhall Crown Court yesterday Judge Simon Smith told Milroy-Sloan she had attempted "to get money and fame by dragging in the Hamiltons, whose names had been very much in the public eye at the time when, as the jury found, you knew perfectly well they weren't there".
Giving their reaction to the sentence, Mr and Mrs Hamilton said it was long enough to "send the right signal" to all would-be liars.
Mr Hamilton said: "She is a gold-digging little slut and she has now been properly punished."
