The 1970s pop star pleaded not guilty to the charges at Thames Magistrates’ Court in east London.

McKeown, 48, was charged with driving with excess alcohol, failing to stop at the scene of an accident, and driving without insurance.

The charges relate to an incident in north London on July 8 in which he was alleged to have crashed his Volvo into a Honda Civic.

A trial date was set for December 8. McKeown was granted unconditional bail.
