Breeders go barking mad for world dog show

ANXIOUS dog lovers used beauty tricks worthy of a top salon, with some owners bending a few rules in the process, as they primped their pets at the world’s biggest dog show.

From monstrous mastiffs to tiny terriers, thousands of dogs competed before a crowded audience at the opening of the two-day Westminster Kennel Club show at Madison Square Garden.

Behind the scenes, scissors snipped and blow dryers whirred as breeders groomed the dogs to look their best.
