Curb Your Enthusiasm returns for ninth season

Larry David has spoken - Curb Your Enthusiasm is back.

The show has been off the air since 2011 when the last episode of season 8 aired, and it was never entirely clear it was coming back. Writer, creator and star David has been asked about it many times over the years and generally made noises without committing to an answer.

Now his definitive statement on the matter goes - "In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, ‘I left, I did nothing, I returned,'”

So it's on, but we don't know when. The schedule of the show has alway been pretty sketchy and there's no reason to assume it will be any different this time around. Still we wouldn't expect anything new to turn up until some time in 2017 at the earliest, and you'll hear all about it from the promo folks at HBO.

Maybe a Christmas special could happen, to reintroduce folks to the character and get across how much he hates Christmas.
