Celtic’s summer recruitment drive is set to continue with the impending arrivals of midfielder Ermin Mahmic and left-back Landon Emenalo.
The Hoops are reportedly close to finalising a deal to sign 21-year-old Bosnia international Mahmic from Slovan Liberec for £7million plus add-ons.
In addition, the Scottish champions are lining up a season-long loan agreement with teenage Chelsea defender Emenalo.
Austria-born Mahmic joined Czech club Liberec from Austrian second-tier side Lafnitz last summer. He opted to change sports citizenship from Austrian to Bosnian at the end of last season and made his debut for his adopted nation in May.
Mahmic then went to the World Cup with Bosnia and scored in group-stage victories over Switzerland and Qatar.
The midfielder is set to be joined at Parkhead by America-born England youth international Emenalo.
The 18-year-old left-back is the son of former Nigeria international and former Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo.
Yet to make a first-team appearance for Chelsea, Emenalo has been capped by England up to under-18 level.
The new arrivals will augment a squad already bolstered by the arrivals of Kasper Hogh, Camilo Duran, Mika Baur and Haissem Hassan.
Martin O’Neill’s side will bid to seal their place in the Champions League when they travel to Austria this week protecting a 3-0 first-leg lead in their play-off round tie against LASK.
