Troy Parrott has completed his move from AZ Alkmaar to La Liga side Real Betis.
The Ireland international has reportedly cost the Seville outfit around €20million with the Dubliner signing on with the Champions League outfit until 2031, Betis say.
Parrott leaves Dutch club AZ Alkmaar after two successful years. Previously, he impressed during a loan stint from Tottenham Hotspur at another Dutch side, Excelsior Rotterdam.
“The past two years have been the best of my life so far,” Parrott said in a statement released by AZ on Thursday.

“When I arrived here, I had somewhat lost my passion for football. Everyone at AZ helped me get my career back on track and enabled me to make this move to Spain. I cannot thank you enough for the time we spent together. I will carry the memories we created together with me forever.
“I want to tell the supporters that they played a huge part in the wonderful years we’ve had. Our relationship has grown, and I’ve seen just how much this team means to the people in the region.
"Winning the cup and celebrating it with the fans is my most special memory. It’s been an emotional journey, and I am forever grateful to them. When I arrived here, my plan was to give them plenty of reasons to cheer. Given how my own development has unfolded and the way the people here have supported us, that mission has been more than successful.”

As well as impressing in the Eredivisie and in Europe last term, Parrott earned the attention of some of the continent’s big-name clubs thanks to his international form.
Parrott, of course, scored both goals in Ireland's 2-0 win over Portugal in World Cup qualifying last term before hitting a remarkable hat-trick away to Hungary just days later.
Betis finished fifth in La Liga last season and will learn their Champions League opponents next week.
They open their league campaign against Real Sociedad on Friday night, with Parrott expected to be in attendance.
