Brighton & Hove Albion chief executive Paul Barber admits it is “very unlikely" that Evan Ferguson returns to the Premier League club during this January transfer window.

The Republic of Ireland international has endured mixed fortunes during his loan spell with Roma and speculation has grown in recent weeks that his stint with the Italian Giants may be cut short.
