Treaty United appoint Ian McMahon as new managing director

Treaty United have appointed Ian McMahon as their new managing director.

McMahon's career includes senior roles at Doncaster Rovers, Hull City, the American Youth Soccer Organisation, Hong Kong Rugby Football Union and the Professional Jockeys Association.

McMahon's role will have him oversee all aspects of the club including overseeing the club’s commercial growth, financial sustainability, matchday experience and community presence while supporting long-term organisational development.

In a statement the club's board of directors said: “Ian brings a rare combination of global sports leadership experience, commercial expertise, and community-minded values. Treaty United is entering a period of meaningful evolution, and Ian is exceptionally well placed to strengthen the club’s structure, deepen its presence in the region, and support our football staff as we continue to drive competitive standards forward.” 

McMahon also had a few words to say about his new position: “I am honoured to join Treaty United FC at such an important moment in its growth. The passion for football in Limerick is extraordinary, and the potential ahead is significant. I look forward to working with our staff, football leadership, partners, supporters and the wider community to build a club that thrives both on and off the pitch. Together we can create outstanding supporter experiences, grow our regional impact, and build a sustainable long-term future.”
