Cork City boss Ger Nash has made goalkeeper David Odumosu his fourth signing of the summer.
Former Ireland underage international Odumosu joins a City side who have done some good business early in the window, with Fiacre Kelleher, Rory Feely and attacker Charlie Lutz all signed up, while there have been exits for for first-choice 'keeper Tein Troost and Rio Shipston.
The 24-year-old has experience in the League of Ireland, having previously played for both Drogheda United and St Patrick's Athletic prior to his time at Cliftonville.
The stopper joins Premier Division strugglers City from the Irish League outfit for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance, having made over 50 first team appearances for Cliftonville since joining them in July 2023.
Odumosu - brought in as a replacement for the now-departed Troost - will likely come straight into the City side for their away clash with Shelbourne at Tolka Park on Friday night.
“I’m really excited to be here at such a massive club as Cork City," Odumosu said. "I have had some really good conversations with the manager, and I am excited to be part of his plans for the second half of the season.
"Obviously, we have a massive challenge ahead of us but it is one I am looking forward to playing my part in. I can’t wait to get started.”
City boss Nash added: “I am really delighted to bring David to the club. First and foremost, he wants to be here, he has made that really clear in my conversations with him so far, and that is really important for me and for the club.
"He is 24, which is still very young for a goalkeeper, but he has a lot of experience, both in this league and in the north. That experience is a real positive for us and is something we were looking for.”
