Cork City have confirmed that Liam Kearney and Greg Yelverton will take charge of the team for their trip to St Patrick's Athletic this weekend.

The Rebel Army are on the look-out for a new manager following Tim Clancy's resignation in their aftermath of their defeat to Derry City at Turner's Cross last Friday.

And in a statement released on Wednesday afternoon, City announced that Kearney and Yelverton will be in their dugout at Richmond Park as their search for a permanent boss continues.

"Liam Kearney & Greg Yelverton will oversee the Men’s First Team for Friday’s game away to St. Patrick’s Athletic," the club posted on social media.

"Work on recruiting a new permanent City manager is the club’s top priority, and this process is well underway.

"We look forward to sharing news on an appointment with our supporters soon, once this process has been completed."

Kearney will speak to the media on Wednesday afternoon ahead of the match in the capital.
