Ireland women are to travel to World’s top ranked team USA this summer for two friendlies, reuniting bosses Carla Ward and Emma Hayes.

Ward succeeded Eileen Gleeson, released after the team’s failure to reach the Euros but remains an FAI employee, and oversaw a 1-0 win against Turkey and 4-0 hammering in Slovenia.

Their Uefa Nations League B campaign continues with back-to-back fixtures against Greece, on Friday week in Crete followed by the return at Tallaght on April 8. The series concludes against Turkey away on Friday, May 30 and home duel with the Slovenians.

Ward was on the staff of USA manager Emma Hayes during their successful Paris Olympics tournament.
