Ireland women to face USA in summer double-header

Ireland last played the Americans in 2023 as part of their build-up to the World Cup in Australia.

Ireland women are to travel to World’s top ranked team USA this summer for two friendlies, reuniting bosses Carla Ward and Emma Hayes.

Ward succeeded Eileen Gleeson, released after the team’s failure to reach the Euros but remains an FAI employee, and oversaw a 1-0 win against Turkey and 4-0 hammering in Slovenia.
