Having spent 90-plus minutes denying rampant PSG in myriad magnificent ways, Alisson Becker could deny no longer. Liverpool's unbeatable No.1 admitted that Wednesday's night's masterpiece at the Parc des Princes was indeed the best of his glittering career.
If looked as if it had been enough to earn Arne Slot's men a most unlikely 0-0 draw. That was until substitute Harvey Elliott struck the game's only goal at the opposite end to Alisson with precious few minutes left on the clock. Liverpool escaped Paris as inexplicable victors. The Brazilian between the posts had made the impossible possible.
