Manchester United are set to complete the singing of 18-year-old Arsenal centre-back Ayden Heaven.Â
Heaven - having rejected a new contract at the Gunners - is close to sealing his switch to Old Trafford after winning the race for the 18-year-old's signature.
Defender Heaven had also attracted interest from Barcelona as well as Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt.
England under-19 international Heaven made his first-team debut for Mikel Arteta's Arsenal side in the 3-0 Carabao Cup win over Preston in October.
He also garnered praise from Arteta after his pre-season showing against United, with the Spaniard noting in July: "Very impressive. I don’t know how many players are able to do that on a stage like this [at his age].
"He’s lost a duel against [Rasmus Hojlund], one of the strongest and fastest players in the world, it can happen.
"But the reaction afterwards, the composure, the quality, the body language that he had were all remarkable. I’m really happy with him."
Reports suggest Heaven's deal to join the Red Devils is all but finalised, with the versatile youngster set to undergo a medical in the near future.Â
