Dundalk’s existence will be salvaged once advanced talks conclude with Brian Ainscough bringing his troubled reign to an end this week.

Fears of the club being wound up were allayed on Monday evening when the condemned plight of the Premier Division’s bottom club eventually attracted prospective buyers.
