Murphy and O'Mahony handed first Ireland under-21 call-ups

Ireland under-21 boss Jim Crawford has handed call-ups to former League of Ireland starlets, Newcastle United’s Alex Murphy (Galway United) and Brighton & Hove Albion’s Mark O’Mahony (Cork City).

Ireland under-21 boss Jim Crawford has named a 24-strong squad for the upcoming European Championship qualifier against San Marino. 

Crawford's men make the trip to San Marino next Friday for a fixture they will be expected to win comfortably, as they continue their push for a place at their first-ever under-21 Euros.
