Klopp confirmed after Liverpool’s 4-0 win over AFC Bournemouth that Salah is likely to return to Merseyside from the Ivory Coast, where he is competing at the Africa Cup of Nations with Egypt, to be assessed by the club’s own medical staff after the winger was forced off in the 2-2 draw with Ghana with what looked to be a hamstring injury.
