Ireland's latest centurion Diane Caldwell hails Katie McCabe for 'complete performance'

McCabe gave Caldwell the armband on the night she won her 100th cap and the Arsenal attacker ensured Ireland marked the occasion with a big win over Albania.

On a night when she temporarily donned the captain’s armband, new international centurion Diane Caldwell hailed regular skipper Katie McCabe for her role in securing a third consecutive victory for the Republic of Ireland in Group B1 of the UEFA Women’s Nations League.

Following convincing wins against Northern Ireland and Hungary last month, the Girls In Green were expected to record another comfortable triumph in Tallaght Stadium yesterday evening.
