Matt Doherty was on the receiving end of stinging criticism from Antonio Conte. 

Matt Doherty’s days at Tottenham appear to be numbered after Antonio Conte publicly ridiculed him during a press conference ahead of Tuesday night’s Champions League trip to Eintract Frankfurt.

The Ireland full-back has yet to start a game for Spurs this season, a situation unlikely to change anytime soon judging by Conte’s comments.

“Doherty last season played every game,” Conte said. “Now I’m not seeing him in the right way to start the game. I’m not stupid, I don’t want to lose.”
