Daniel Sturridge looks set for West Brom switch after turning down Newcastle

West Brom appear to have won the race to sign Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge on loan after the striker turned down the chance to go to Newcastle.

The 28-year-old has fallen a long way down the pecking order at Anfield and, as a result of injury and subsequent non-selection, has not featured since the Champions League match with Spartak Moscow on December 6.
