Two students who attempted to sneak into the Premier League match between Manchester United and Arsenal on Saturday have released footage of their exploits.

The pair were part of an official Old Trafford tour the day before the match, but managed to cut away from the group and stay at the ground.

It was reported yesterday that they were found during a routine security sweep at the stadium, being caught by one of the pre-match check measures.

Watch from 6m30s for their moves to escape the tour group and from 12m for their interactions with security staff.

It appears they were free to move around the stadium until close to kick-off, with footage showing them enjoying the build-up to the game as the stands filled up.

Security guards and club staff are shown talking to the pair at length and searching their belongings a number of times. They appear most interested in finding out how the intrepid duo managed to leave the tour and remain overnight.

A club spokesman said: "We realise people will go to any lengths to watch a game at Old Trafford but these people went too far.

"The fact that they and their belongings had been searched before entry means we are confident there was no risk to safety."
