He was the QFA's general secretary in 2010 when it won the FIFA vote to host the 2022 World Cup.

Qatar Football Association vice-president Saoud Al-Mohannadi has been banned from all football activities for a year by FIFA.

Al-Mohannadi was given the sanction by FIFA's ethics committee for failing to cooperate with an investigation into a third party.
