Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers face charges after violent clashes between fans

The Football Association of Ireland said today that it will charge Bohemian FC and Shamrock Rovers following clashes between supporters at Dalymount Park last Friday night.

The FAI today reviewed the Referee’s and Match Delegate’s reports following a number of incidents during the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division fixture.

It was decided that formal charges are to be brought against both clubs, who have been invited to a disciplinary hearing at FAI HQ in Abbotstown, on Wednesday, April 20.

Separately, representatives of the FAI’s Stadia and Security Committee are to meet with representatives of Bohemian FC to discuss matters arising from Friday night’s fixture.

"The FAI utterly condemns the behaviour of a number of individuals who were involved in the disturbance at Dalymount Park," the FAI stated.
