Transfer rumours: Shane Long linked with a move to Anfield
Ireland forward Shane Long is being linked with possible moves to both Liverpool and Spurs.
According to reports this morning, Liverpool Jurgen Klopp is looking to bolster his attack and the 28-year-old fits the description of what he wants. Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is also reportedly interested in signing Long.
The Tipperary man has scored eight goals in 19 appearances for Southampton this season and he also scored in Ireland's famous 1-0 win against Germany at the Aviva.
Liverpool have struggled in attack this season, with new signing Christian Benteke failing to fire and Daniel Sturridge sidelined for long periods due to injury.
News of a possible move to Anfield for the striker is getting a mixed reaction from fans online.
Would Shane Long be an effective addition to Jurgen Klopp's high tempo system at #LFC? https://t.co/OmZdxOant0

Shane Long? Klopp is Rodgers long lost evil twin. Both horrendous at the transfer game. Utterly shite.

Shane Long would've scored more than Balotelli had we signed him. That's about the best and worst way to put it
