Manchester United’s problems deepened on Wednesday when Marcos Rojo confirmed he has had to undergo surgery on his left shoulder.

Louis van Gaal’s patched-up team crashed out of the Champions League on Tuesday when they lost 3-2 in Wolfsburg.
