Keys always insisted his disparaging remarks about female assistant referee Sian Massey were nothing more than “lad's mag banter”, but he eventually resigned after sustained public pressure.
Since then Keys has worked alongside former Sky colleague Gray on talkSPORT radio and also for beIN Sports, which is based in Doha.
Every so often he likes to remind people he’s still around, like yesterday when he tweeted: “welcome to the big time” to Gary Neville who has become manager of Valencia.

Unsurprisingly, the remark got a big response on Twitter.
Some people didn’t directly criticise Keys, but did point out that Neville hasn’t exactly had a mediocre career in football so far.
